"सर्वं श्रीकृष्णार्पणमस्तु" (Sarvam Shri Krishnarpanam Astu)
The phrase "सर्वं श्रीकृष्णार्पणमस्तु" (Sarvam Shri Krishnarpanam Astu) means "May everything be an offering to Lord Krishna." This phrase encapsulates the essence of dedicating all actions, thoughts, and outcomes to Lord Krishna, signifying the practice of devotion and surrender in the spiritual path.
This concept is often connected with the philosophy of Karma Yoga from the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Krishna advises performing one's duty without attachment to the results. Below are some relevant verses (slokas) from the Bhagavad Gita that align with this principle:
1. भगवद्गीता 2.47:
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
Transliteration: Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhur Ma Te Sango'stv Akarmani.
Translation: You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction.
2. भगवद्गीता 9.27:
यत्करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत्।
यत्तपस्यसि कौन्तेय तत्कुरुष्व मदर्पणम्॥
Transliteration: Yat Karoshi Yad Ashnasi Yaj Juho Shi Dadasi Yat,
Yat Tapasyasi Kaunteya Tat Kurushva Mad Arpanam.
Translation: Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform—do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me.
3. भगवद्गीता 3.30:
मयि सर्वाणि कर्माणि संन्यस्याध्यात्मचेतसा।
निराशीर्निर्ममो भूत्वा युद्ध्यस्व विगतज्वरः॥
Transliteration: Mayi Sarvani Karmani Sannyasyadhyatma Chetasa,
Nirasir Nirmamo Bhutva Yudhyasva Vigata Jvarah.
Translation: Surrendering all your works to Me, with your mind intent on the Self, free from desire and ego, fight—free from mental fever.
These slokas collectively convey the idea of dedicating all actions and their results to the Divine, particularly to Lord Krishna, which is the essence of "Sarvam Shri Krishnarpanam Astu."
